About
BICC is the only multi-purpose convention facility in Bangladesh, situated at Sher-e-Banglanagar. Constructed with Chinese technical and financial support, it was originally built to host the 13th Summit of the 114-member Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).

History
Originally named Bangabandhu International Conference Centre, it was renamed Bangladesh–China Friendship Conference Centre during its formal handover on 12 January 2002. In 2009, the center resumed its original name — Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC).
